Food: A+ had the steak fajitas, chicken tacos & street corn, they serve you chips and salsa + guac on the house! YUM SERVICE: We sat at the bar should've made reservations but it was our first time there at Durango Casino so I didn't think it would've been THAT busy! Ambience: Loud contemporary music which I loved 99.3 my kinda radio station LOL! I recommend making reservations for the future.
What a beautiful experience! The entrance into the restaurant is beautiful and must be seen to appreciate the beauty of it! The interior, once inside the main portion of the restaurant, is a very modern and beautiful feel. Not what you would expect for this cuisine. The Chicken Empanadas were outstanding and nicely presented. The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic with the spicy salsa and fresh warm chips. Perhaps the the best appetizer not to be missed is the Charred Octopus! This is the entire octopus that has been grilled to a slight charred crispy exterior, then served with chorizo, white beans, and potato! This was insanely good and easily shared! Most Mexican restaurants inside of casinos are average at best, however, this is an elevated experience for this type of cuisine!!
My second time here and I love it. We had the Quesabirria tacos, Carne asada tacos, Mexican corn and tortilla soup. I also got a delicious spicy mango margarita and for dessert we had the Trio of churros, which was strawberry, chocolate and t caramel with chocolate and caramel sauce on the side. And If you haven't been here it's a must do. #mijomexicanrestaurant #durangocasino
Yummy food! I ordered the Mariscos el fuego ($23) which is such a fun appetizer! It's served on fire! The shrimp were good and the scallops were okay, they could've been more flavorful for the price. I also got the 2 Avocado tacos ($14) and they asked if I wanted 3 which I assume has an upcharge. And I also had the strawberry margarita ($17) which is great if you like sweet drinks with minimal alcohol flavor. The service was very quick at the bar. And the vibe of the restaurant is very dim lit and lively inside. Overall, a fun spot to go to for special occasions. There's cute photo opportunities outside of the restaurant. And there's also a hidden speakeasy with a live DJ. I would go again for a girl's night out or a birthday.
My sisters and I had a dinner reservation at Mijo the other night and enjoyed our time as well as the food. It was quite dim inside the restaurant compared to how the outside was, but it brought out a really cool and calm vibe. I really want to thank our waitress Markie for providing great service and hospitality. She continuously checked on us and made sure that the food we ordered was made to our liking. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were a bit dry, but still tasty. My sisters ordered the lobster tacos and lobster enchiladas. If you like seafood, then for sure get the lobster enchiladas. We also ordered the taco salad with grilled chicken to share for our appetizers and it was really refreshing and filling. Food and drinks are very affordable so if you're looking for a nice place to have dinner with the ladies or date night, be sure to check them out!

Food was amazing! A group of work partners & I decided to visit Mijo one evening for dinner. Just the entrance walkway alone already blew my socks off as I entered into the restaurant. What a cool vibe! You'll have to see it for yourself, because my description wouldn't do it justice. Our servers were very friendly and helpful and made the experience very enjoyable. But the star of the whole evening was the food! Amazing flavors, perfectly cooked, and just amazing overall! A must try for those special nights out.
LOVE this place! Came in on a date yesterday so beautiful on the inside nicely decorated!! the food is amazinggg and the service is very good. The girls who seated us were lovely and super nice !! Very knowledgeable when I had questions about the menu 10/10 can't wait to be back!
The hostesses at Mijo are so sweet and welcoming!! Shoutout to Chelsea and Cassie for accommodating us tonight even though it was super busy! We had a great time and will be back!!!
